This is how rockface sits on a facade.

In a catalogue it is a stone; on a facade it is something else. These photographs show rockface as applied: the split surface, the joint spacing, the way light wanders across it through the day.

Rockface on a villa facade

Exterior wall cladding

Rockface is natural stone with its fracture face left as it broke. On a facade the surface stays ridged rather than flat, so it holds light differently at every hour: one facade in the morning, another at sunset.

Slab system, solid-masonry look

Exterior wall cladding

Slabs are 2–3 cm and bond directly to the facade with chemical adhesive — no substructure. The wall reads as solid stacked stone while loading the building far less than real masonry.

On large surfaces the size mix and joint spacing decide how the whole reads. Up close every slab breaks differently; from a distance the facade reads as a single fabric.
